Switching to O2 from Movistar, Vodafone, Orange, Digi or Yoigo in Tarragona
You bring your ID, bank account number and the details of the lines you want to bring over; we do the sign-up with you. You receive the SIMs, confirm them with the SMS link and within about 48 hours the number is on O2: your line keeps working until then. If you already have Movistar fibre and keep your landline number, no technician needs to come. For a brand-new fibre line, a technician comes to install the router, usually within 24–48 hours. Can I sign up for O2 in store or only online?
In store, with the same plans and prices as the O2 website, and with a person who explains each plan, does the sign-up with you and looks after you afterwards.
How long does porting my number to O2 take?
We do the sign-up in store and order your SIMs. When they arrive, you confirm them with the SMS link and within about 48 hours your number is on O2. A technician installs the fibre at your home 24 to 48 hours after sign-up; sometimes the same day. If you already have Movistar fibre and keep your landline, no technician is needed.
What do I need to bring to sign up?
ID (DNI/NIE or passport), bank account number, your details (address, email) and, if you are bringing your numbers, access to the phones you want to port. For fibre, the exact installation address.
Is O2 part of Movistar?
Yes. O2 is Telefónica's brand: the same fibre and 5G+ network as Movistar, with a fixed price and no lock-in.
Do you have fibre coverage on my street?
Tarragona city, Sant Pere i Sant Pau, Bonavista, Torreforta and Llevant have Telefónica fibre; we check it with your exact address. We check it on the spot with your address, on WhatsApp or in store.
Can I sign up for O2 if I live in a nearby town?
Yes. If you live in Torredembarra, Altafulla, Constantí, El Morell, La Canonja, Vila-seca, Valls, El Catllar, Els Pallaresos, La Pobla de Mafumet or another town in the area, you sign up in store or on WhatsApp and the technician installs the fibre at your home free of charge. The physical store is in Tarragona.
